The Disney Blog has once again given us a clearer idea of what to expect from Star Tours The Adventures Continue, while effectively telling us nothing. The cast of characters that you can expect to see when the attraction opens this summer will include, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Chewbacca, Yoda, Stormtroopers... lots of them, a new kind of trooper created especially for the attraction dubbed "Skytroopers" which is probably akin to the "JetTroopers" from the Star Wars Battlefront games. Also to make an appearance in the attraction are Admiral Ackbar and Princess Leia, although how their involvement will fit into the time frame of the show is, as of right now, rather mysterious. R2-D2 and C-3PO will reprise their roles in the rides pre-show. C-3PO however, also has a much bigger role than he did last time. The final two characters are the two new droids added to the show, Spokesbot Aly San San and Star Tours Pilot Ace (AC-38).
Last week at Toy Fair, the annual toy industry expo, Hasbro unveiled two sets of Star Tours: The Adventures Continue action figures. From these images the Sky Troopers look a lot like Scuba Troopers. These new action figure sets will go on sale at the Disney Parks later this year.
