If you have been waiting with rapt anticipation for the chance to finally get a good long glimpse at director Joe Johnston's highly anticipated Captain America: The First Avenger, then surely you thought that the trailer would be attached to Battle Los Angeles, which releases this weekend. You would have thought this because that's what the conventional wisdom was. However, it appears that MARVEL has a slightly different plan. According to ComicBookMovie.com they have stumbled upon a list of 2011 trailers that seems to indicate that the Captain America trailer wont be seen until THOR hits theaters on May 6th. Now this list may or may not be official so this could all change, but it does seem to be on the level. The logic is sound enough, why would MARVEL want to undercut the success of THOR by giving away the goods on Captain America? Right now they can concentrate on selling the movie about the God of Thunder, then begin the marketing for Captain America on the day THOR is in front of audiences. As a matter of fact, everybody seems to be out there trying to sell THOR, even Chris Hemsworth was on the red carpet talking up not only the THOR film but also cleverly dodging Avengers rumors.
