In just a few weeks, audiences will get their first look at Disney's all new sci-fi epic, John Carter. The film has been a long time in the making. Over the last one hundred years, many attempts have been made at bringing Edgar Rice Burroughs famous Barsoom novels to the big screen, with mostly disappointing results.
But it's the books themselves that have captured the imaginations of readers for over a century. Burroughs very first Barsoom novel was entitled A Princess Of MARS, and that novel is the basis for Walt Disney Pictures John Carter. Now, Disney and the films director Andrew Stanton will attempt to bring these cherished books to life. Attempting to faithfully bring to life Burrough's beautifully decrepit world of Mars is a monumental task, but one we are confident that the director of WALL-E & Finding Nemo will succeed gloriously.
Now, you can read Edgar Rice Burrough's original tale about a Confederate Soldier named John Carter who found a portal to Mars in a cave in Arizona, A Princess Of MARS. We present the novel in it's entirety, and completely free of cost. So, before you head to your local multiplex to see John Carter, make sure you set aside some time read the classic of American science fiction that inspired the likes of Robert A. Heinlein, Arthur C. Clarke, Ray Bradbury, James Cameron, and George Lucas. To read A Princess Of MARS click on the banner above.
