Way back in October, we told you about a monumental resurrection that is quickly coming up in the Cartoon Network series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Thats right, the return of Darth Maul. Now, the former Sith Lord is half the man he once was, but from the footage in this trailer, we see that he gets himself some shiny new metal legs. Maul's return begins tonight, with 'Massacre,' episode 19 of the show's fourth season. As, we saw in last season's story arc that featured the birth of Savage Oppress, Darth Maul's past is strongly tied to that Asajj Ventress, and as it turns out, so is his return. Darth Maul's epic return will be chronicled in episodes 19,20,21, and 22.
If you were thinking that Maul, a character that has been abruptly cut off in the past, will have his return short lived, well dont. Star Wars: Clone Wars Director Dave Filloni want's fans to know that they didn't bring back Maul, just so they could kill him off again; "To go through all the trouble and believability to bring this character back, it would be a shame if it was once again a short-lived thing. A lot of effort went into the resurrection of Darth Maul, and I'm going to make it worthwhile for the fans, that's for sure."
