Today, Disney's biannual fan celebration, the D23 EXPO gets underway in earnest. However, last night was a magical opportunity for the media and VIP's to get a sneak peek at the massive fan oriented event. During the preview night festivities Disney's creative head honcho John Lassiter kicked off the event by opening the Disney Archives special exhibition entitled Disneyland: The Exhibit. The massive presentation holds a treasure trove of Disneyland history and takes you through the entire 60 year life span of the park.
In addition to Disneyland: The Exhibit, fans were treated to an exclusive look at Disney's Imagineering pavilion which included exhibits about Shanghi Disneyland in China, and the upcoming AVATAR themed land coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida.
And of course, no D23 EXPO Preview night would be complete without seeing... and purchasing some of the awesome exclusive merchandise available. Whether you are a Disney die hard, and Star Wars mega fan, or a MARVEL true believer, there was something for everyone!
