501st Stormtrooper TK-COW gives winnings to Foodbank

In July, Noel Green, a member of the Star Wars fan costume group the 501st Legion, won the "Dress like a Cow" costume contest at a Chick-Fil-A restaurant here in Albuquerque. He dressed up as TK-COW, a bovine spotted Stormtrooper, and was awarded a "Year supply" of Chick-Fil-A meals. But being a member of the 501st is about more than just dressing up as Star Wars characters, The 501st Legion is involved in charity and relief efforts across the globe. So being the upstanding member of the Empire that he is, Noel decided that those precious meals deserved to be in a more deserving place than his own stomach. He donated his entire prize to the Road Runner Food Bank. Having volunteered with the Road Runner Food Bank numerous times, I can tell you that this kind of donation doesn't happen enough, but it will be greatly appreciated by the less fortunate families that will benefit from Noel's generous donation. - Admiral Duke
