Yeah,yeah, Vinylmation are all the rage. Of course you add in the rabid cult classic Nightmare Before Christmas and you have a special kind of excitement. You limit those Nightmare Before Christmas Vinylmation figures to a pressing of only 500 each...Well, then you have a magical kind of hysteria only a Disney fan could love. D Street opened 2 hours early for the event and the Vinylmation fiends were lined up hours in advance. When the doors to D Street (Located in Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World) finally opened there were easily 100 people in line.
With Disneyland & Disney World splitting the inventory of these limited figures, they wont last long. Unfortunately, it seemed that planning for the event wasn't properly thought out and things got a little hectic. The limited nature of the release made things more complicated as 9" figures were limited to 2 per person. Those folks who were accustomed to purchasing full case's were rudely awakened to the fact that with these open faced packages, each figure had to be rung up individually by D Street cast members that were clearly out numbered by the calm yet rather demanding crowd.
