This collection of strange and macabre images of your favorite Disney Princesses may be the best known fan art collection on the web. Jeffrey Thomas, the creator of the Twisted Princess collection, is an accomplished comic book artist, and has been working on this collection in his spare time for years.
The collection originally began with the Snow White, Ariel, Belle and Jasmine images. Over time the collection has grown to 14 images. After the initial offering, Jeffrey went on to create the ghastly images of Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.
Jeffrey then went on a streak of creating wicked tough warrior women as depicted in his images of Mulan, Pocahontas, Jane from Tarzan, and Kida from Atlantis. Of course there is a heaping helping of crazy in here too as the deliciously twisted images of Alice and Meg from Hercules illustrate.
It's fitting that Jeffrey's two newest images are inspired by Disney's two newest Princesses. Tiana looks evil as can be with the Shadowman's hat, and his dimembered, shrunken head on her belt and flanked by an evil, man eating, Louis the alligator. Rapunzel's life giving hair seems to have the opposite effect in this image. Also notice that Pascal the chameleon is a zombie and that "Blondie" is wearing Flynn's satchel... apparently something went terribly wrong this version of the tale. Jeffrey's talents are not at all limited to Disney art, he is an amazing artist and has really phenomenal collection of art over on his DeviantART page.
