Attendees of last weeks 2011 San Diego Comic Con had the opportunity to check out a preview reel from next summers Disney XD animated show TRON: Uprising. The reel is mostly concept art and animation tests, but also includes actual animation from the show... Although, a majority of it seems to be pulled from the trailer that was released a few months ago. The show is set to debut Summer of 2012. There have been indications that a TRON: Uprising film would debut on Disney Channel in the spring with the series to debut on Disney XD shortly after. However, representatives of the show have been quoted as saying the series debut will be preceded by series of 10, three minute shorts. Weather the shorts are in addition to, or in lieu of, a Disney Channel movie remains to be seen. This will be yet another of many projects we hope to hear more about at the D23 Expo in August.
