Last weekend, The worlds biggest comic book, film, and pop culture kicked off with a flurry of excitement and fun. Fans, exhibitors, and stars packed in to the massive San Diego Convention Center to be a part of SAN DIEGO COMIC CON. For four days this was the center of the entertainment industry in all of it's forms... And we were there! In addition to our coverage of all the big comic book, and film news, we were on hand to check out some of the amazing costumes and antics on display by the fans!
We attended the Amazing Spider-Man 2 panel and watched as Spider-Man himself entered Hall H and exchanged witty banter with actor Jamie Foxx, who plays villain Electro in the film. After an entertaining few minutes, Spider-Man swung away and moments later actor Andrew Garfield joined the panel, disappointed that he had missed Spider-Man's appearance. It is odd that those two are never in the same room...
DisFanReview editor Admiral Duke had an incredible time checking out all of the amazing booths and exhibitions. He was most impressed by the displays put on by Lucasfilm, Marvel, Sideshow Collectibles and Gentle Giant. There was a lot to see, but by far the most impressive, and at times most disturbing displays, were that of the fans and their elaborate costumes.
For two days at Comic Con, Admiral Duke joined the costumed ranks and dressed up like Jeff Bridges character 'The Dude' from the 1998 Cohen Brothers film The Big Lebowski. He ran met lots of famous folks, like Doctor Who himself, Matt Smith. He also had a chance to have master comic book writer Brian Michael Bendis sign his Ultimate Spider-Man #1 comic book. He had the opportunity to get up close and personal with director Joss Whedon and literally ran in to LOKI himself, Tom Hiddleston.

You met Matt Smith AND Joss Whedon? I kind of hate your face a little. Envy.
Met...? Well not exactly. Came in incredibly close proximity? Yes. Yes, I did.
