
A couple of cool STAR WARS tid-bits hit the internet this last week. The first one being the long awaited release date for the first ever LEGO® STAR WARS Animated special. Now, the LEGO® & STAR WARS brands have been partnered for a long time. We've seen the hilarious viral animated shorts, and we've all played the LEGO® STAR WARS games. We now get a 30 minute, stand alone animated special starring everybody's favorite Jedi Master, YODA! Lego style. LEGO® STAR WARS: The Padawan Menace debut's on CARTOON NETWORK on Friday July 22nd, at 7pm(ET & PT). If you miss it, do not fear. The special will air again on Saturday, July 23 at 10:30 a.m. & 5:30pm(ET/PT) and on Sunday, July 24 at 4:30pm(ET/PT).
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS
A routine Jedi Academy field trip is turned into a rip-roaring comic adventure in LEGO Star WarsTM: The Padawan MenaceTM. Tour guide Master Yoda leads a group of rambunctious Jedi younglings through Senate chambers when he senses a disturbance in the Force. Summoned to help save the Republic, he discovers that one of the younglings secretly boarded his ship…and has a taste for adventure! Meanwhile, C-3PO and R2-D2 are put in charge of the boisterous group and find themselves in over their heads. As the evil Sith prepare to wreak havoc, it’s up to Yoda and the droids to ensure that their young charges aren’t torn to bricks!

Amazon.uk posted this new image of the STAR WARS saga box set that will contain all six films and a metric ton of special features. We are finally getting a better look at what this set will look like as this is the first time the disc images have been released to the public. The characters that appear on the disc's include Yoda, Count Dooku, Emperor Palpatine, C-3PO, Lando Calrissian, R2-D2, Darth Vader, Chewbacca & Ben Kenobi. As, well we get a very tiny glimpse of the booklet that comes with the set. STAR WARS blast's on to Blu-Ray on September 16th, and you will be able to purchase the films in two different way's. Either you can purchase the entire STAR WARS saga collection(pictured above), or if you prefer to only have one half of the STAR WARS saga, then you can purchase the prequel and original trilogies separately.
