Disney Releases All New 'John Carter' Pics

Even though we are currently caught up in the spirit of the season, we must remember that time flies when you are having fun. Thanksgiving has just passed and Christmas is quickly on the way, but we might want to pause and realize that Spring will be here sooner than we realize. In fact, Disney's John Carter debut's on March 9th, which is a mere 3 months away.

Never one to miss a marketing blitz, Disney has unleashed a new wave of publicity for the new film based on Edgar Rice Burroughs classic series of novels. The all new trailer for the film is due out on Dec. 1st but we already have this very cool series of images from the film. Don't be troubled if you think this movie looks like Prince Of Persia in space. Having seen some really impressive footage at the D23 Expo in August, we are confident that over the next couple of months, Disney will make completely sure that audiences see John Carter as an out of this world Sci-Fi Epic.

Synopsis - From Academy Award(R)-winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton comes “John Carter”–a sweeping action-adventure set on the mysterious and exotic planet of Barsoom (Mars). “John Carter” is based on a classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, whose highly imaginative adventures served as inspiration for many filmmakers, both past and present. The film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). In a world on the brink of collapse, Carter rediscovers his humanity when he realizes that the survival of Barsoom and its people rests in his hands.
