We have been absolutely honest about Disney's very timid advertising campaign for John Carter. From the beginning it just felt as if the studio was trying to hold back as much as possible. Which has lead many critics to believe that Disney is worried about the film and therefore doing there best give audiences only a limited idea of what the final film will look like. However, in recent weeks, Disney has unleashed a lot of video and film footage that is providing a detailed and absolutely eye-popping view of Andrew Stanton's vision of this Edgar Rice Burroughs classic.
Now Disney Studio's Australia has released this 4 minute video that is actually two separate videos. The first half is an extended peek at the White Gorilla scene in which John Carter begins to better understand his enhanced abilities. Immediately after the arena scene, simply the best trailer that we have seen for the film. Yes, I said the best. The new trailer is absolutely stuffed with new footage and is over flowing with epic imagery that really seems to indicate that the film will deliver on Disney's promise that John Carter will be the 3D event of the year. We can't wait!
