I'm sure it's not just us, but it sure feels like TRON:Uprising has been the show that will never air. It seems like we have been talking about this for nearly two years... and we have. But finally, TRON:Uprising will be hitting the airwaves this April on Disney XD. In this all new promotional ad for Disney XD's 2012 line up we finally get a new glimpse at this TRON:Legacy prequel series. TRON:Uprising takes a superhero approach to the TRON Universe as the long time protector of the Grid, TRON himself trains a young program named Beck to be the next guardian of the digital world.
In this new ad we get a much better look at Elijah Woods character beck and our first good look at Mandy Moore's character Mara, and a whole slew of cool flashes of neon charged action. The TRON:Uprising 10 part micro-series will launch in April and the full TRON:Uprising series begins in June on Disney XD.
