This time last year, German automaker Volkswagen launched a viral juggernaut when they released their Super Bowl ad for 2011. The ad begins with a small child dressed as Darth Vader, marching down the hallways of his home like a little Sith Lord. Little Vader does his very best to use the Force on all manner of different household objects. The ad struck a chord with generations of people the world over who identified with the young lad...because lets face it, who hasn't tried to move household objects with the Force?
Volkswagen's saga of Star Wars commercials continued when in the middle of January they released this all new ad. The clever commercial introduces a hilarious collection canines who cant seem to shut up. Suddenly these magnificent mutts begin to bark in harmony a very familiar tune from a galaxy, far, far away.
Finally, Volkswagen has released their all new commercial for Super Bowl 46, which will air during the big game. This Sunday, February 5th. This Star Wars ad, doesn't start out as a Star Wars ad at all. In fact it starts out as the inspiring tale of a fat dog who loses some pounds to run with the all new Beetle. How that turns into a Star Wars commercial, is a must see.
