In one of the smaller panel rooms at San Diego Comic Con, Actor Thomas Jane and RAW Studio's unveiled a few new projects to a relatively small crowd. At the end of the presentation Jane was joined by actor Ron Pearlman to show a ten minute short film that serves as something of a sequel to one of Jane's most popular films, The Punisher.
The Punisher hasn't exactly had the best of luck when it comes to his string of cinematic adaptations. However, of the three actors who have portrayed Frank Catsle, Jane is really the only one of them has really stood out. Jane's 2004 Punisher film was the only one that closely resembled the character that generations of violence loving comic book readers have fallen in love with. However, the film took several annoying liberties with Castles back story. The most obvious being that The Punisher's origin story was moved from the mean streets of New York City to the mean streets of... Tampa Bay, Florida?
Now, eight years after he first put on the black t-shirt with the white skull, Jane is back in Frank Castle's boots... Unofficially. This fan film also contains a very cool cameo by cult favorite, actor Ron Pearlman(Hellboy, Sons Of Anarchy). Be warned, this film does contain graphic violence, adult language, and blood. A lot of blood... But hey it's The Punisher. The way he should be.
