MARVEL Comics Knows how to do an epic crossover. Last year they shook up the entire MARVEL Universe with Avengers Vs. X-Men which had wide reaching consequences across most of their popular titles. This summer, it's all about the AGE OF ULTRON. In issue one, readers were dropped into an unthinkable situation. ULTRON has won. The android intelligence created by Hank Pym, Ant Man, one of the greatest Avengers ever, has taken over the world and has systematically begun to wipe out the worlds heroes.
In issue #7 The world's remaining superheroes are on the ropes. The end is near for mankind. Ultron has the upper hand and it is up to Wolverine and Sue Storm of the Fantastic Four to do the unthinkable. After Wolverine commits a terrible act in the past the pair return to their present in hopes that they have made an impact for the better. But is their new Marvel universe any better than the one they left behind?
AGE OF ULTRON has been an epic story. Brian Michael Bendis has woven an intriguing tale that pits the worlds greatest superheroes against an unseen enemy that seems to have all of the angles cover. Maybe this hasn't been Bendis' best work... But a mediocre story by Bryan Michael Bendis is ten times better than a great story by most comic book writers out there. If there is a real weak point in this issue it's purely from the fact that Brandon Peterson's art work becomes somewhat inconsistent in places and leaves you wanting for the cinematic beauty that artist Bryan Hitch brought to the first five issues of the series.
