Someone at Disney Interactive is losing their mind. Or their job. Or both. Over the last week their biggest secrets about Disney Infinity 3.0 just continue to get leaked out. Last week Chinese retailer Taobao was the first source that new Disney Originals figures were on the way. Now, thanks to Disney collectibles website DisKingdom and German retailer Saturn, we have these images of a STAR WARS themed Disney Infinity 3.0 starter set that will include Anakin Skywalker and Asoka Tano.
DisKingdom and Saturn appear to have been ordered to remove their respective posts. The addition of STAR WARS to Disney Infinity isn't entirely a surprise. Disney Interactive has always loosely promised that Star Wars characters were coming to the platform, but now fans have what amounts to a de facto confirmation. This is of course in lieu of an actual announcement from Disney Interactive which is probably being sped up due to the leaked information.
Last weeks Infinity leak gave us a glimpse at the upcoming Disney Originals line up which will include classic Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Mulan, Olaf, Sam Flynn and Quorra from TRON: Legacy and the five stars from PIXAR's upcoming film Inside Out.
Disney Infinity 3.0 will likely see a late fall release to coincide with the release of STAR WARS Episode VII: The Force Awakens, and of course the holiday buying season.
UPDATE: A source has told DisFanReview that an announcement about the STAR WARS / Disney Infinity 3.0 starter set may come as soon as Monday May 4th, or "Star Wars Day" as dubbed by the internet and... well, everybody.
