Last year a 47-second video teased a completely new vision of the classic final duel between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The video titled 'Scene 38: Reimagined' was a very short glimpse at an aggressive and emotional duel that feels far more similar to the lightsaber slinging Vader we saw in Rogue One than the slow and lumbering Dark Lord that debuted in 1977's Star Wars. The fan-made project is from FXitinPost, a YouTube channel described as 'dedicated to creating unique story-driven visual effects and action short films.'
Now the project is complete and STAR WARS: SC 38 Reimagined is here. In all of its modern, CG, HD, and yes... 4K glory. If you are a vintage Star Wars purist, this may not be the video for you. There are a lot of liberties taken with the pacing of the scene. There are also added bit's of dialog. But all of these elements culminate for a fan experience like no other. The action is intense and for a fan made production... The graphics are truly impressive. This is the VADER vs. KENOBI rematch as it should have been.
