When talking with my wife about the candidates for this weeks Fan Art Friday, she posed a question to me that left me dumbfounded, "Why haven't you ever featured my Disney work?" My wife, Monique Duke, is a photographer with an amazing talent for fun, whimsical and, amazing portraits. You can find her work here. Somehow, I always forget about some of the specialty work she has done, including the gorgeous Disney themed photos above. Now, DisFanReview regulars have seen her work before. She worked her magic on our family's Halloween photos making it appear that we were all in Disneyland, even though we were stuck here at home.
A lot of people know how to use Photoshop, But, Monique is a digital artist of the highest order. I promise that is not merely nepotism speaking. She has a knack for transporting children to the most wonderful lands of their imaginations.
Here is how she put it in her own words, "Children have the capability of imagining the most amazing things. The unfortunate thing is that when they are done pretending, they have nothing physical to show for it, no actual proof that they were once in an enchanted kingdom, flew across the Atlantic in an airplane, or rode upon a unicorn. Because of this I offer these special fairy tale and time traveler sessions to my clients, so that their children will have a memento from their dreams."
