It was complete serendipity that I stumbled upon Joel's flickr stream last night. I had just been browsing one of my contacts favorite images when I saw Joel's self portrait above. Joel uses both digital and drawing art skills to create amazing and magical self portraits including a whole cache of Disney inspired self portraits. He also has many great pieces inspired by Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland (depicting him as both the Mad Hatter and an Alice inspired character)
