The Magic Kingdoms Returns To The Virtual World

For almost 2 years Disney Parks fans have been without a meaningful representation of those parks in cyberspace. When VMK was shut down in May of '08 the Magic Kingdom's were effectively wiped from the face of the internet. Until now. When Disney acquired internet gaming company Playdom, Disney fans wondered if this meant a return of VMK. Well to this point that remains to be seen, but the Magic Kingdoms have returned to the internet in the Facebook game Social City. There are 8 rides from the Disney parks that you can collect and incorporate into your city, or build your own theme park. When you have received all 7 items you are rewarded with Cinderella's castle complete with working fireworks. Keep in mind though, nothing is ever as easy as it seems. You can go to face book right now, sign up for Social City, get started on the game and spin for you first Disney Parks piece right away. Unfortunately, each spin costs 10 city bucks which are earned with experience points or you can buy mor through various pay options. Also the Disney Parks pieces are given out completely at random so you will probably have numerous doubles before you get the entire set. I have been building up my city for two days now and I have all pieces but the Matterhorn. I will let you know as soon as we have the complete set. If you want to be our neighbor on Social City and see our city for yourself, seek us out on Facebook. Search for Admiral Duke and send me a friend notice. So, no my friends, it isn't the return of VMK, But hey, it's a start.
