A lot of Vinylmation stuff saw the light of day today. The Vinylmation Park Series #5 was the star of the show, but there was so much more to the story. D Street normally opens at 10:30am, but has been known to open a couple hours early for these kinds of events, and although it hadn't been advertised, They did open at 8am. What was a bit frustrating to the folks who had gotten up and waited in line, was the nasty surprise that waited them once they entered D Street. Closed sets like park Series #5 are typically $9.95, however Vinylmation fans discovered this morning that the price has been jacked up to $12.95, increasing the price of a case by nearly $100! The Tom Morrow chase figure from this series is really cool, but is it an extra $100 dollars worth of cool?
Also released today is the first 9" figure from the Holiday Series #2. This awesome figure is especially cool because not only will it hold a commanding place in your collection but it would easily make a great Halloween decoration! We also snagged a sneak peak at the Limited Release Sorcerers Mickey Figure that comes with an unopened Park Series #5 figure. They will be available next week, and once those are gone, they are gone. Pricing on this combo has yet to be released.
Last week we reported that Jack Skellington Vinylmation figures were completely gone from WDW. Well D-Street now has a few more on hand, but if you are in the Orlando area and really need to get your hands on one, The Disney Store at the Florida Mall has a ton of them.
Coming up in a couple weeks we will be back out at D Street for the release of Vinylmation Urban Series #5 which will include this really cool figure entitled "Cup O Tea." Urban Series #5 hits the D Street November 5th.
