Big Day At Disneyland Resort With Debut Of 'Star Tours' & 'Little Mermaid'

It's been awhile since Disneyland has had a day like today. Today they kick off their Soundsational Summer with not just one, but three major debuts. The first is Disneyland's Soundsational Parade that features new musical medleys of classic Disney fare and parade floats that take the Disney excitement to another dimension!

Of course the real excitement is all about are the new rides! Of course everybody knows about the all new 3-D STAR TOURS: The Adventures Continue. A state of the art reboot of this classic Star Wars attraction. This isn't just some overlay. This is a complete re-imagining of the STAR TOURS experience. With all new queue elements that totally immerse Disneyland guests in the galaxy far, far away, and over 50 possible scenarios every time you ride, STAR TOURS will be a major draw, for a long time to come.

Over at Disney California Adventure, the parks multi billion dollar renovation hits another milestone with the opening of The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Under Sea Adventure. The attraction is the second true "dark ride" to appear at DCA, after Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. Some might argue that Toy Story Midway Mania is a 'dark ride,' yet It doesn't share the same enchanting storytelling elements that are present in classic 'dark rides' like Snow Whites Scary Adventures, and Peter Pans Flight. Not only does the Little Mermaid attraction have these elements but the entire experience is enhanced by state of the art animatronics.

The Little Mermaid attraction is something the park had been desperately needing. An attraction that will be fun for all ages, but one that parent and kids can ride on while older family members can enjoy some of the more thrilling fair at the park. Also the attraction is a major enhancement to the campy yet kid friendly elements of the park that already exist at A Bugs Land.

Disneyland Hotel has also gotten a major face lift with new rooms, a Monorail themed pool and new and exciting places to eat. So, now that Disneyland's Soundsational Summer is fully underway you really need to get yourself and your family out to Disneyland. Heck, even Darth Vader is going to the "Happiest Place On Earth!"
