John Lasseter Uncomfortably Deflects Question About "Toy Story 4"

You really have to give BBC a lot of credit. Twice in the last month reporters from the British Broadcasting Company have managed to shock the powers that be at Disney with one simple phrase, "Toy Story 4." A few weeks ago actor Tom Hanks shocked the entertainment world when he indicated that a fourth installment of the unbelievably successful Toy Story franchise was in the works.

His statement was in response to a question posed by the host of BBC's The Breakfast Show, that seemed to come out of no where. Now we have video of Disney's Creative guru John Lasseter doing his best to side step the exact same question. The video begins with Lasseter talking about Cars 2 when the female interviewer seems to take him completely by surprise when she suddenly sneaks it in.

Just like Hanks, Lasseter struggles with the surprise of the question and his answer appears to be more of a confirmation than a statement that definitively dismisses the speculation. Pay real close attention when Lasseter say's "We haven't announced anything yet." The male interviewer quickly ask's "Would You Like To?" Lasseter staunchly say's "No...no" Then quite suddenly shifts the topic of conversation back to Cars 2 and keeps it there. It's kind of hilarious.

Will there be a Toy Story 4? Maybe, but in the meantime it's a lot of fun to watch The BBC make Hanks and Lasseter squirm about it.
