Much like the bootleg trailer for The Avengers that we shared with you over the weekend, this trailer for The Amazing Spiderman will premiere in all it's HD glory this weekend when Captain America: The First Avenger blasts into theaters. However, enterprising fans, who seem to be unconcerned with copyright laws, took the risk to leak the first trailer for The Amazing Spiderman. Evidently MARVEL & Sony were having a difficult time keeping the trailer under wraps so it looks like they have released it early in an effort to thwart the bootleggers.
It's clear from the trailer that director Marc Webb has gone to great lengths to make sure that audiences know that this IS NOT the same Spidey that you have seen before. The tone seems much darker, and there seems to be a completely different approach to scenes of Spiderman swinging through New York City. The effect this will have on audiences will be... dare we say it? Amazing.
The Amazing Spiderman stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen & Sally Field. Spidey swings your way, one year from now, on July 3rd 2012.
