This week's episode picks up where last week's "Darkness On Umbara" left off. Captain Rex and the clones of the 501st, under the temporary command of General Pong Krell, are taking heavy fire from the ground and the air as Umabaran militia and Starfighters blast them simultaneously. During the firefight Obi-Wan Kenobi orders Krell & the 501st to take a nearby airbase in an effort to cut off enemy supply lines.
Krell orders the clones into a full frontal offensive to take the base. Rex has his misgivings but the overbearing Krell wont have it. He orders the clones into a headlong date with disaster. Many of the clones, including ARC Trooper Five's have had it with Krell's utter lack of concern for clone safety. Rex however, is able to convince the disgruntled clones that their duty is to follow orders, no matter what they are or who they came from. The clones move forward towards the airbase.
Unfortunately for the troopers of the fighting 501st, The Umbaran militia is ready for them, which they discover as "centipede" tanks blast out of the ground and begin to cut the Republic's ranks to shreds. The clones are able to regroup and defeat the wormy offenders. However, the victory is short lived. Once the smoke clears, Rex see's that the Umbaran militia has another deadly weapon, massive walking tanks that will surely mean doom for the remainder of the 501st.
Realizing that their time is running out, Rex orders Five's & Hardcase on a stealth mission into the Umbaran Air base in order to steal a weapon that might even the odd's. When Krell learns of Rex's order he is outraged. He then orders the remainder of Rex's men to take down the gigantic tanks, no matter the cost! Can Five's & Hardcase make it back into time to save their clone brothers?
Feloni and crew once again find a way to amp up these ASTONISHING battle scenes. The action sequences in this episode are so visually complex. It's tough to say that explosions and death are beautiful, but the carnage is executed in such a convincing way, with such brilliant colors and scary sounds that it's hard to use any other word. Seriously, the quality of the animation is getting better and better every week. We simply cannot wait for the next chapter in Star Wars: The Clone Wars... Plan Of Dissent.
