Probably best known to American audiences as the 9th Doctor Who, and Destro in G.I. Joe: Rise Of Cobra, Christopher Eccelston appears to be in final talks to play the big bad guy in THOR: The Dark World, according to Slashfilm.com.
There had been rampant speculation that the villain of the film might be Malekith The Accursed, leader of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim. And now, that has been all but confirmed. It wont be the first time that Eccelston has been the villain.
Aside from Destro, Eccleston plays a lothesome and megalomaniacal unit commander in the Danny Boyle zombie flick 28 Days Later. THOR: The Dark World is due out November 8th 2013.
