Well things had been promising for FOX's DAREDEVIL. The 1970's 'Serpico-style' noir action film was supposed to be in the early stages of production, but evidently things were much earlier in the gestation process, as the man who would have been director, Joe Carnahan went to Twitter to tell fans that the movie just wasn't to be.
Think my idea for a certain retro, red-suited, Serpico-styled superhero went up in smoke today kids.
And, sure enough, several industry publications are reporting that the film rights will indeed revert back to Disney/MARVEL in October when the deadline has officially passed. It seems though that Carnahan didn't want to leave fans completely empty handed. He uploaded to YouTube the 'Sizzle Reel' that he put together to sell the concept for his version of Daredevil.
