Well, if you didn't already know, MARVEL's 2nd wave of super hero movies is underway. In fact, we reported today that production on Phase 2's first film, Iron Man 3 was temporarily halted due to an injury suffered by the films star Robert Downey Jr.
You may already know that after Iron Man 3, MARVEL jumps right into a VERY crowded film schedule that includes Thor: The Dark World(2013), Captain America: The Winter Soldier(2014), Guardians of the Galaxy(2014) and Ant-Man(2014). What you may not have known...but probably suspected, is that Phase 2 will culminate in summer 2015 with The Avengers 2! Which now has an official release date of May 1st 2015. The Walt Disney Studios has announced a release date for Marvel Studios’ sequel to the biggest Super Hero blockbuster and third highest grossing film of all time, Marvel’s The Avengers. Joss Whedon returns to write and direct the UNTITLED MARVEL’S AVENGERS SEQUEL set for release May 1, 2015.
