Monstrous Summer Kick Off: Fan Art Friday Edition 5/25/13

Ahoy there! Captain Cay reporting with your Fan Art Friday post from the home base! While Admiral and Moki are in California celebrating the Monstrous Summer Kick Off, I am here celebrating on my own with, yep, you guessed it; Monsters Inc fan art! As I sail the waves of the internet (Pinterest and Tumblr mostly) I find some pretty intriguing art. This week however, I thought "Why not celebrate those monsters we have grown to love so much?" so here we are with three pieces from Mimi-na, all Monsters Inc.

The first bit of art we have shows Henry Waternoose the third holding his criminal name plate issued after his capture in the original Monsters Inc. I don't think saying "I'll kidnap a thousand children before I let this company die" is a very smart thing to say when you're the CEO of the biggest company in Monstropoilis history. Guilty as charged, and obviously very impatient, he glares at the camera. It's not like he is hostile towards Mike and Sulley or anything! Nothing to be concerned about... Right? Wrong! ESCAPED printed at the bottom of the picture shows that the whole of Monstropolis, and all of the children in the human world are all in danger! Including our most horrifying trio, Mike, Sulley, and Boo!

Next, just to prove that the children of the human world are all in danger, comes Boo, cowering in her bedroom wearing her homemade monster costume, a shadow apears on the bottom of the image. Who came to get little Boo and what do they want with her? Leave it to Mike and Sulley to save their friend, and Monstopolis, again. If you'll notice, several other Disney characters appear in this image. If you look closely you can spot a Tinker Bell nightlight, a Doug stuffed animal from the Pixar film "Up" and also, a movie poster from the same movie. Also hiding in this picture, the original Pixar ball and a drawing of Mike and Sulley.

Finally, we have Celia holding Boo, and protecting her form monsters of all kinds. While a horrified Boo points up at the shadow monster hands above her's and Celia's heads, you can see Randall's shadow on the bottom left, and another monster to the bottom right. Hopefully someone will come to the aide of the two ladies and save them from the truly evil monsters of Monstropolis.
