Fifth Annual ALBUQUERQUE COMIC CON Begins This Weekend

Written By Admiral Duke For DisFanReview.com

Comic book conventions are it right now. Everybody knows about the big boys. San Diego Comic Con, New York Comic Con, Wondercon. Those are the ones everybody talks about. Conventions in smaller markets though, don't get a lot of traction. An exception to this rule has been Albuquerque Comic Con. For the last four years ACC has brought the biggest and brightest to central New Mexico, And much to the credit of the events organizer Jim Burleson, it has gotten better every single year.

Now in it's fifth year Albuquerque Comic Con lays claim to the title of New Mexico's premier comic book and pop culture event with some of the biggest names in the industry. Headliners include Captain Kirk himself, William Shatner, Jason Mewes from Jay and Silent Bob fame. Michael Biehn from Terminator, Aliens, and so much more, and finally Manu Bennett who can currently be seen in The Hobbit: Battle Of The Five Armies and Arrow.

Comic book fans can rest assured that there will be a lot for them as well. Comic book legends Rich Buckler and Bob Layton as well as legendary artist from MAD magazine Sergio Aragones. Of course, this only scratches the surface of what fans will be able to find at ACC this year, as the event has grown so large over previous years that the event will be at the Albuquerque Convention Center for the first time ever.

So now is the time to get your tickets and reserve your space for not only the biggest comic book and pop culture event in New Mexico but also the very first comic book convention on the national convention calendar!
