Via their Twitter page, 20th Century Fox gave X-Men fans their first look at the character of Nightcrawler in X-Men: Apocalypse as portrayed by actor Kodi Smit-McPhee. This of course isn't the first time the character has appeared in the X-Men franchise. He was first portrayed in the 2003 film X2: X-Men United by Alan Cumming. However, after the events of X-Men: Days Of Future Past seemed to reset the entire film continuity this version of the character is starting with a clean slate.
Returning for X-Men: Apocalypse are James McAvoy as Professor X, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, and Lucas Till as Havok. New additions for X-Men: Apocalypse include Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Lana Condor as Jubilee, Ben Hardy as Angel, and Oscar Isaac as the titular Apocalypse.
X-Men: Apocalypse is slated to be in theaters on May 27, 2016.
