Mr. Lincoln returns to Disneyland later this month

The classic Disneyland attraction that was the very birth place of Life-like Animatronics, "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln" will finally be returning to Disneyland, as early as December 18th. Developed originally for the 1964 Worlds Fair, Mr. Lincoln later took up residence at Disneyland where he remained, in one fashion or another until 2005 when Mr. Lincoln was put on hiatus and replaced at the Main Street Opera house by the Disneyland 50th anniversary short film "Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years."
This past March that film was closed down and preparations began to improve the mechanical workings of Mr. Lincoln and then move him back in to his former home. Today, the Orange County Register is reporting that Mr. Lincoln will reopen BEFORE the new year and that Disney spokesman John McClintock said that an opening date announcement could come as early as today.
