Disney has released the first official image from Cars 2. In it we finally get to see what Finn McMissile, the James Bond-esque Astin Martin, looks like! In addition to the image Disney passed along their first description of the film's plot:
Star racecar Lightning McQueen(Owen Wilson) and the incomparable tow truck Mater(Larry the Cable Guy) take their friendship to exciting new places in “Cars 2” when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world’s fastest car. But the road to the championship is filled with plenty of potholes, detours and hilarious surprises when Mater gets caught up in an adventure of his own: international espionage. Torn between assisting Lightning McQueen in the high-profile race and towing the line in a top-secret spy mission, Mater’s action-packed journey leads him on an explosive chase through the streets of Japan and Europe, trailed by his friends and watched by the whole world. Adding to the fast-paced fun is a colorful new all-car cast that includes secret agents, menacing villains and international racing competitors.
Cars 2: Grand Prix will be released in theaters nationwide on June 24, 2011.
This weekend a whole slew of pictures from the set of the upcoming The Muppets film hit the net. First up was an official image from Disney with our old Muppet friends hangin out with Walter who caught a picture of the gang on his iPhone. Second is the collection of images from SlashFilm.com that includes a lot of images from the closed up Muppet Studio featured in the film.
As well as images of Electric Mayhem's tour bus, and a sign detailing the studios closed attractions.
The folks over at BleedingCool.com have a great collection of images that show Enchanted star Amy Adams on the set with Jason Seagel and Walter the Muppet. Still no word on a release date for The Muppets, but stay tuned to DisFanReview for all the latest news.
It appears that somebody jumped the gun on an movie poster website and posted the new Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides poster days before it was scheduled to be released. Rather than cause a ruckus about it Disney and the films producer Jerry Bruckheimer, scrambled and took to Twitter to make official announcements and link to hi-res versions of the poster. The image itself is keeping in step with the previous teaser posters for the Pirates films. This poster most closely resembles the 'skull' poster from Curse Of The Black Pearl, with the trademark headband, and crossed swords. However, they had the skull chromed this time. Shiny. Lets hope the film shines as bright when Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides raids movie theaters on May 20, 2011 . -Admiral Duke
