Before Mickey Mouse ever piloted an airplane in Plane Crazy or steered a river boat in Steamboat Willy, Oswald The Lucky Rabbit was the king of animated high jinks. Created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks in the mid 1920's, Oswald was the most famous cartoon around, until 1928 when Warner Brothers was able to steal the character and most of Walt's animation staff away. It was the loss of Oswald that was the catalyst for Mickey Mouse's creation. Now Oswald has been returned to the Disney fold after decades of obscurity and takes a major, redemptive role in the upcoming video game, Epic Mickey. So, before you meet him in the game world on November 30th, here is a quick introduction to this classic Walt Disney animated character, Oswald The Lucky Rabbit. -Admiral Duke
