As we have been telling you all year, there is an all new documentary about Sesame Street's most famous monster, Elmo and his puppeteer Kevin Clash. The film is finally making it's way to movie theaters across the country and of course the media buzz has begun. However, the promotion of this film to a wide audience is taking an odd road, for a fairly obvious reason.
Sure, Kevin Clash & Elmo made an appearance on Good Morning America this morning, but most TV appearances have been made in a very UN-Sesame Street time slot. Last night Kevin Clash made an appearance with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central's The Daily Show and later in the night was featured on the ABC News show Nightline.
Why the late night tour for a film about the puppeteer of a children's show? It's much more simple than you might realize. While Elmo is for the kid's, Being Elmo is a heart warming documentary that reveals more about Kevin Clash & what goes on behind the scenes of Sesame Street than littler kids would be able to understand.
