Today, Disney and MARVEL have released a couple of new items that prove that 'The Avengers' is well on it's way to global dominance. The first item is likely to be loved and adored by fans. The other is likely not to be. First of all, the master builders at LEGO have gotten their hands on the official poster for 'The Avengers.' Then they LEGO-fied it. This very cool tie for the film is actually a real poster that will be available at select theaters when the film debuts in theaters on May 4th. While it is certain that LEGO fans will likely love this cool little twist on everyone's favorite building toy, there is one fan base that seems to be absolutely livid with an upcoming Avengers tie in.
In the next couple days, visitors to Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida will have the opportunity to assemble with The Avengers... On the MONORAIL! Thats right kiddo's, just like Disney Parks did with the infamous 'TRONORAIL' they will soon be doing with The Avengers. Back in 2010 Disney World guests rode the rails in a monorail that was themed after the Disney film TRON: Legacy. Die hard fans hated the idea that the monorail was reduced to a moving billboard, but many visitors loved it, which has prompted Disney Parks to try it again. The all new 'Avengerail' will also be quite remarkable in the fact that this is Disney's first major effort to bring MARVEL comic book characters in to the parks. The Avengers themed monorail is set to debut this spring.
Well it was quite a surprise to find this video this morning. Disney Parks had said it may be days before the 'Avengerail' debuted, but as it turns out, it happened today! A Walt Disney World monorail wrapped in Avengers themed advertising was spotted near the Contemporary Resort by our good friends Inside The Magic. Enjoy this very first view of Disney Parks first major attempt at bringing MARVEL superheroes in to the parks.
