The summer 'Con' season has officially begun. WonderCon, one of the biggest Comic Book Conventions in the United States is typically held in San Francisco, but this year has relocated to Anaheim Convention Center, just across the street from Disneyland. While many San Francisco natives made the trip down for the event, It is the denizens of Los Angeles who flocked in droves today to this festival dedicated comic books and pop culture.
Last August we were fortunate enough to attend the D23 Expo in the exact same venue. However, WonderCon seems to using the space better... and they are using a lot more of it. The show floor is massive with hundreds upon hundreds of booths and displays, and no shortage of novelties and collectibles to purchase. You can get an autograph from your favorite sci-fi or television actor... Like say, Lou Ferrigno(The Incredible Hulk, The Avengers).
Then there are the 'Cos Players.' The dedicated throng of fans who spend hours, days and even years putting together the perfect costume for WonderCon. Cos play, is easily the jelly filled center of the WonderCon doughnut. sure you like doughnuts, but they just wouldn't be the same with out the surprise in the middle. That is what WonderCon would be without the costumes.
There are also a ton of fun and informative panels and Q&A sessions. In fact, on Friday we had the opportunity to Attend MARVEL Comics 'House Of Ideas' panel. There comic book legend Mark Waid, and Marvel's head of social media, Ryan Penagos unveiled to the WonderCon crowd the future of digital comics. They are calling it ReEvolution and believe us when we say that it is a game changer. But, we will have full post about that later today.

Be sure to follow us on Twitter and on Facebook all weekend as we live Tweet photos and video from WonderCon 2012!
